The Five Majors (2026)
Chevron Championship
At the 2025 Chevron Championship, it took the largest playoff in LPGA major championship history to determine a winner. When the drama finally settled on Sunday evening, it was 2024 Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year Mao Saigo who emerged victorious, becoming a Rolex First-Time Winner and capturing her first major championship. The Chevron Championship, one of the LPGA’s five majors today, was first played in 1972 and earned major championship status in 1983.
U.S. Women's Open
The U.S. Women’s Open, conducted solely by the United States Golf Association, is the longest-running tournament currently played on the LPGA Tour. First held in 1946, it remains one of the five major championships in women’s professional golf and is widely regarded as the toughest test on the schedule.
At the 2025 U.S. Women’s Open presented by Ally, Sweden’s Maja Stark emerged victorious when the final scores were tallied on Sunday afternoon, hoisting the Harton S. Semple Trophy. With the win, Stark became the first European player to capture the championship since Annika Sörenstam accomplished the feat in 2006.
KPMG Women's PGA Championship
The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, first played in 1955, is one of the five major championships on the LPGA Tour and one of the most prestigious titles in women’s golf.
At the 2025 championship, Dallas resident Minjee Lee captured her third career major title, finishing three shots clear of Auston Kim and Chanettee Wannasaen. The victory marked Lee’s first LPGA Tour win since the BMW Ladies Championship in 2023 and further cemented her place among the elite players in the game.
Amundi Evian Championship
The Amundi Evian Championship, played at Evian Resort Golf Club in France, has been an official LPGA Tour event since 2000 and is one of the tour’s five major championships.
In 2025, Grace Kim captured the title to earn her first career major, becoming the third consecutive player to claim her maiden major victory at Evian. Kim joins Ayaka Furue and Céline Boutier as recent champions who achieved their first major breakthrough at the picturesque French venue.
AIG Women's Open
The AIG Women’s Open, one of the five major championships on the LPGA Tour, was added to the tour’s official schedule in 1994 and gained major championship status in 2001.
At the 2025 championship, Japanese rookie Miyu Yamashita closed with a final-round 2-under-par 70 at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club to secure the victory. Yamashita finished two shots clear of Charley Hull and Minami Katsu to capture the championship.
