About Inside Women’s Golf

Why This Site Exists

I’ve been a fan of women’s golf for many years.

As a golfer myself, I’ve always appreciated the LPGA game. The players may not hit the ball as far as their counterparts on the men’s tours, but the precision, strategy, consistency, and course management required to compete at the highest level are remarkable. At this stage of my own golf journey, many LPGA players are actually closer to my yardages than PGA Tour players, which makes their approach to the game especially relatable and educational.

Over time, I realized that some of the most interesting stories in women’s golf happen long before a player ever lifts a trophy on the LPGA Tour.

There are stories on the Epson Tour, in college golf, at LPGA Qualifying School, and among the top amateur players who are working toward their professional dreams. There are also important conversations happening about sponsorships, television coverage, tournament purses, and the future growth of the LPGA.

InsideWomen’sGolf.com was created to follow those stories.

A Personal Connection to the Game

My interest in women’s golf extends beyond watching tournaments on television.

I have attended multiple LPGA and women’s professional golf events throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin over the years, including tournaments at Hazeltine National Golf Club and the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

In 2026, I will return to Hazeltine as a ShotLink volunteer for the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, providing a unique behind-the-scenes perspective on one of the biggest events in women’s golf.

Working in college athletics has also given me an appreciation for the development side of sports. Earlier in my career, I assisted with a women’s golf program and saw first hand the commitment, preparation, and determination required to compete at a high level.

This is not a site built entirely from a keyboard by someone watching a television broadcast. It is built by someone who has walked these fairways, spent time around athletes and coaches, and understands why this game matters.

What You’ll Find Here

Inside Women’s Golf focuses on the present and future of women’s professional golf.

You’ll find:

  • LPGA tournament previews and recaps
  • Major championship coverage
  • Race to the CME Globe standings and analysis
  • Epson Tour coverage and Race for the Card updates
  • College golf and amateur golf prospects

  • Articles examining the business and economics of women’s golf

My goal is simple: provide fans with both quick-reference information and deeper stories in one place.

Dream Chasing: The Epson Tour

One area that deserves far more attention is the Epson Tour.

The Epson Tour is the official developmental tour of the LPGA and serves as the primary pathway to LPGA membership. Every season, players compete for one of the most coveted prizes in women’s golf: an LPGA Tour card.

The Epson Tour’s slogan is “Dream Chasing,” and that perfectly describes what these players are doing.

They’re traveling thousands of miles, competing week after week, and chasing the opportunity to reach the LPGA.

Throughout the season, Inside Women’s Golf follows:

  • Tournament results
  • Race for the Card standings
  • Players moving inside and outside the top 15
  • Breakthrough performances
  • The stories of those trying to reach the next level

For many players, one strong finish can change the course of a career.

The Business of Women’s Golf

Professional golf is more than fairways and scorecards.

Behind every tournament are sponsors, television contracts, tournament organizers, volunteers, equipment companies, and business decisions that shape the future of the sport.

One of the areas I find most fascinating is how the LPGA continues to grow.

How are purses increasing?

How do sponsorships impact the tour?

What role does television coverage play in attracting fans?

How can the LPGA continue building momentum in an increasingly competitive sports landscape?

These are questions worth exploring, and they will be a regular part of the site’s coverage.

Looking Toward the Future

Women’s golf is entering an exciting period.

The LPGA has new leadership. Prize money continues to grow. The level of competition has never been higher. New stars are emerging from college golf, international amateur competitions, and the Epson Tour every year.

The future of the game is being shaped right now.

Inside Women’s Golf exists to follow that story.

Coverage Philosophy

This site is not trying to compete with major news outlets for breaking news.

Instead, the goal is to provide thoughtful coverage of the parts of women’s golf that deserve more attention.

If you want a quick overview of a tournament, you’ll find it here.

If you want to understand how a player progressed from junior golf to college golf to the Epson Tour and eventually earned an LPGA card, you’ll find that here too.

And if you’re interested in where the LPGA is headed in the years ahead, you’ll find those conversations here as well.
