Welcome to My Corner of the Web
Hi, I’m Wayne—and if you’ve found your way here, you’ll quickly discover one thing about me: I have a true passion for the LPGA.
For me, golf has never been just about playing. It’s about understanding the game through the stories of the incredible women who have shaped the LPGA into what it is today. Their precision, strategy, and skillful play have always captivated me.
As a young fan, I was drawn to legends like Sandra Palmer and Pat Bradley. Their games lit a spark in me, steering my love for golf toward the women’s side of the sport—and that spark has never faded.
Why I Started InsideWomensGolf.com
That passion eventually led me to create InsideWomensGolf.com—a place dedicated to celebrating the lives and careers of these phenomenal athletes.
The idea was never just to list statistics or highlight achievements. I wanted to shine a light on the journeys behind the trophies: the resilience, the setbacks, the breakthroughs, and the determination that define the LPGA.
Every biography, every career highlight featured on the site is meant to give both longtime fans and newcomers a glimpse into the fascinating world of women’s golf.
A Journey Through My LPGA Enthusiasm
My enthusiasm for the LPGA started with the legends, but it grew through experiences of my own. One of my most unforgettable moments came in 2008 at the U.S. Women’s Open at Interlachen in Edina, Minnesota.
I was volunteering as a scoreboard operator on the 13th or 14th hole when a roar suddenly echoed across the course. Word spread quickly: Annika Sörenstam, in her final U.S. Women’s Open, had just holed out for eagle on the par-5 18th.
Even though she wasn’t in contention to win, the moment gave everyone chills—a perfect farewell for one of golf’s all-time greats. That day reminded me why I love following this sport so much: there’s always a new story to discover, a new record to admire, or a player defining her era.
Building a Brand with Purpose
From moments like that, InsideWomensGolf.com was born with a clear mission: to celebrate and document the incredible stories of LPGA players.
This isn’t just a project for me—it’s personal. Each story I share is a chance to connect the past with the present, to give recognition to players who deserve the spotlight, and to create a resource that honors the LPGA’s legacy.
Our content is meant to invite everyone in—whether you’re a longtime fan or just getting to know the LPGA—to see what makes women’s golf so special. And as the site continues to grow, that mission will only deepen.
Beyond the Green: My Life with Golf
Of course, golf shapes more than just my writing—it shapes how I play, think, and connect with others.
I’ve always admired the LPGA’s approach to the game. It’s about precision, strategy, and finesse rather than sheer power. That’s how I enjoy golf, too, and it makes me appreciate their skills even more every time I step onto the course.
Along the way, golf has given me lifelong friendships, cherished memories, and endless stories to share with fellow enthusiasts. Every tournament I attend, every video I watch, and every biography I write adds another layer to my love for the game.
Because beyond the numbers and scorecards lies the true heart of golf: a living tapestry of stories, ambitions, and moments that inspire. That’s the legacy I’m committed to celebrating—through InsideWomensGolf.com and beyond.
